Stupid drivers

I just have to do this.

Hey you, driving 3 inches from my back bumper...the left lane was not created exclusively for your use. Some of the rest of us have an occassional need to pass someone, or have some other need to be in the left lane. I'm really sorry that my usual 10 mph over the speed limit isn't fast enough for you, but that's just too damn bad. Unless you would like to start paying my share of the taxes, I own as much of this road as you do.

** I will move back to the right lane when it's safe to do so, and not a split second sooner.

** I will not cut someone off in order to get out of your way.

** I will not compromise my driving speed (ie, get behind the person I was trying to pass) to get out of your way.

** I will not significantly increase my speed to get out of your way.

** By the way, you do not impress me by flooring your gas pedal once I am out of your way. You also do not impress me by moving to the right lane inches from my front bumper.

---

And for those of you who don't know how to change lanes properly and refuse to use TURN SIGNALS in the proper manner:

** You do not have a god-given right to move into my lane just because you need to be there.

** Just because the space between my car & the one in front of me is the size of your car does NOT give you the right to put your car there. That little space is called FOLLOWING DISTANCE, and it allows me to react if the car in front of me slows down or stops. I've already had to cut it down way more than I like because of you idiots. Consider it my personal space. STAY OUT OF IT.

** Just because you have your turn signal on does not obligate me to make room for you in my lane. I'll do so if I can. If I have to slow down to the point of causing a traffic jam behind me...I'm damn sorry but you'll just have to wait. I also will not change my speed to allow you in front of me if there's a huge empty space BEHIND me.

-------------------------------------------------
I do not claim to be the perfect driver, but I do have a little common sense and a little common curtesy. Try learning both, it really improves your life.

Grumble.....

Would you mind coming to Utah and giving some of the locals driving lessons?

Once I get everyone here trained, I'll be glad to :)
